Rosa Waltz
Hold: all hands held, right in left, at shoulder height, palms together
Position: face partner, gent with back to the centre, lady with back to the wall, couples in circle around outside of floor
Feet: lady right, gent left
Begin:
Move hands to lady’s right, (like wipers), dance 1,2,3, 2,2,3
Lady turn to face the wall bringing gent’s right hand and lady’s left hand over her head, keeping all hands held at all times. Finish with hands caught in front of lady.
Step 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 to lady’s right, step 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 to lady’s left
Step 1 to lady’s right and back again, unwind hands and face lady dancing 1,2,3, 2,2,3
Waltz for four in waltz hold
As for Pride of Erin waltz: both take one step, lady with right, gent with left, and lift other leg. Change places under gent’s left arm. Repeat to return to original position.
